WASTE REDUCTION MINI GRANT REQUEST

 

As a part of DeKalb County’s Solid Waste Program, the DeKalb County Health Department will be awarding competitive mini-grants that address waste reduction. Applicants must be a DeKalb County business and/or industry. Waste reduction refers to the reduction of the amount of trash sent to the landfill.  It may include efforts directed toward reuse, recycling and/or source reduction.  The grants are one-time grants.

 

Grant requests will be awarded in amounts up to $5,000.  The maximum award per applicant will be $5,000.  Requests may include, but are not limited to, the implementation of source reduction activities, the purchase of recycling collection containers, and/or promotion of waste reduction educational efforts.

 

The completed application must be received by October 15,2007.

The application is two pages.  The application is intended to be a short concise document.  Please attempt to keep responses limited to the space provided.  However, should additional space be required, please attach.
