Who is the Volunteer Responder Team?

Volunteer Responders (VRs) are community minded citizens, over the age of 18, who have offered to assist during a public health emergency in the event medication needs to be distributed to residents of DeKalb County. VRs will serve in emergency roles according to abilities and skills they list on the skills checklist (completed during registration). Volunteers will be assigned specific job roles, which may include handing out forms, assisting with traffic flow, assisting disabled persons, delivering materials, or worker support. VRs are considered critical community personnel. VRs will be assigned only to secure locations. In the event of a disease outbreak, volunteers and their families will be among the first to receive preventive medications.
